History of Love...

As I was thinking this week about where the Lord has brought Jon & I over the years ~ I thought it would be fun to do a timeline of our love ~ and well ~ we will just say way before our love even began.

December 8, 1997 ~ Megan's journal entry at age 10 ~ "I'm in love with Jonathan Warren"

July 15, 1998 ~ Megan's journal entry ~ "For some reason I feel sure that he is the man, I wonder why?"

2000 ~ Jon moved to CO & back ~ He began to notice Megan

2003
~ Jon & Megan started writing notes back & forth; Jon came over with his sister, Jenny to the Bozemans for visits! (Thank you Jen ~ for chaperoning for us for awhile ~ we are grateful!)

2004 ~ Megan went on Vacation with the Warrens to New Mexico. Jon & Megan washed dishes (which was not a new occurrence ~ we are very good at washing dishes!) & sat very close for many hours while doing a puzzle ~ just to be in each others presence.

2004 ~ Jon started coming over for dinner at the Bozemans without Jenny!

Summer 2004 ~ Dance lessons for Tim & Casey's Wedding! First time Jon told me I was beautiful!

Fall 2004 ~ Jon asked Megan's Dad if he could call her once a week to talk. He called every Wednesday night consistently starting the spring semester.

Summer 2005 ~ Jon hung out with Megan through bikerides, youth group, college Bible study, and family get togethers.

Late July 2005 ~ Jon came to ask Dad if he could begin pursuing a relationship with Megan.

August 5th, 2005 ~ Our first date at Sardini's in Fort Worth. We were both so nervous ~ that we split a salad & a plate of chicken parmesan and had plenty of leftovers. Afterwards we went to Barnes & Noble & Starbucks.

Three weeks later ~ Megan left for camps for A&M & Jon went to Letu a few weeks later.

October 2005 ~ Jon's first visit to College Station ~ for a A&M & Baylor football game! Jon's first Aggie football game! Our First Kiss!

Christmas Break 2005 ~ Jon hadn't called in 3 weeks ~ ran into him at the mall :) Obviously ~ we worked things out!

Summer 2006 ~ Both home! Our first time to be in the same city & dating. It was fun & a great time to really get to know each other. We loved it! We were both very sad to have to go back to college that fall.

November 2006 ~ Jon came to visit & told me that he loved me. (This is actually quite a funny story ~ which I am not going to include here as I am realizing we have a lot of history ~ but you should ask us about it sometime!)

August 2007
~ Jon joins our family on vacation to visit my brother, Bryan & Grandparents in Seattle!

Tim, Casey, Jon & I in Grandma & Grandpa's Creek

Jon & Megan in a castle in the children's section of a very large bookstore in Downtown Seattle.

Parents Weekend 2007
~ Jon joined Matt & Jan, Megan's parents, to come in for A&M's Parents Weekend & to see Megan's Women's Chorus concert.

May 2008 ~ Jon moves to College Station! Whoop!

August 2008
~ We celebrated 3 years dating!

November 2008 ~ Jon asked me to be his wife! I joyfully said YES!

We are getting married Saturday, March 28th! We can't wait & are thankful for the Lord's sovereignty over our relationship and grace to us through the years.

New Beginnings...

Today was a day full of cleaning ~ and moving last bits of my life out of my old apartment with the girls & into Jon & I's soon to be new apartment. It's a transition ~ to say goodbye to a whole era of life in college with sweet girl roomies & think about moving in with a boy! A boy ~ who I cannot wait to begin my life with. I will add pictures soon of our new place ~ so you can all see where we will be living together!

Just six more goodbyes at night ~ before we know it will be off to Mexico! We can't believe it! We were both saying tonight how it doesn't feel like it should already be this week ~ but are bubbling over with joy that it is!

PS: Jon's parents ~ my new parents! ~ created a blog ~ you should check it out!

Modest Swimwear

I'll be honest ~ when I hear the words modest & swimsuit ~ I inwardly groan. I think most women do. I despise running all over town ~ trying on every suit under the sun to test its modesty. Only to find ~ there's not really anything out there that completely covers you up!

SO ~ I was thrilled today to find out there are companies that make swimsuits & market them as modest! They are so cute! Check them out!

This company, Lime Ricki, strictly sells suits. They are fabulous ~ I actually ordered one for our honeymoon!

If you decide you need one too ~ you can put in the coupon code: onmyperch & get 10% off your purchase!

This company, Diviine Modestee, sells both suits & clothes for Moms & Daughters.

1 Timothy 2:9-10
Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.

A Day with Mom :)

Momma came to town today! I've been spending so much time with my mom over the course of our engagement ~ the last 4 months ~ that since I've been back in CS these last two weeks ~ I was beginning to miss her! We had a strictly fun & girly day. It was lots of fun ~ from lunch at Pei Wei, picking up the last few gifts, making pottery at U Paint It, to nesting a little at the new apartment ~ we had a load of fun!

She is such a blessing & I am so thankful for her. She has put forth so much joyful effort for Jon & I's wedding. She has really has worked & worked ~ so I was glad & grateful we could have a day of relax & fun before the big day arrives! Just one more week & it will be here!

Babies, Babies, Babies...

I woke up this morning with the baby bug ~ after seeing Jenn & Matt, our sweet friend's newest niece. She is just 5 days old ~ and adorable! So, I thought I would share babies with you!

Here is my neice ~ she is growing bigger everyday! I can't wait for her to come and meet her new Uncle Jon! Sometimes, I refer to her as my baby & it startles some people ~ for the record I am not preggers! She is Tim & Casey's (my brother & sister-in-law) ~ however I think we might be able to lease her out on occasion!

My cousin, Jana, had alot of complications with her pregnancy ~ and delivered six weeks early. Her baby girl has done exceedingly well & progressed rapidly. She and the baby came home yesterday & the pictures are a visible symbol of the Lord's grace in her life. I thought I would share so you could give thanks for this tiny one as well.

Please continue to pray for Jana & her new baby girl, Chevie, as Jana transitions to becoming a mommy & that the Lord would use Chevie's life to draw Jana closer to Him.

Marriage License!

Today was a full day of appointments & errands, but our by far most exciting errand was getting our marriage license! I was a little disappointed that we don't get to sign the actual license & they didn't make us raise our right hands or anything! But, that aside, very exciting ~ in three days (well really 10) ~ we can legally get married!

A Welcomed Break!

Maggie was calling us! So ~ we had a welcomed break for ice cream at Maggie Moo's this evening from last minute errands for the wedding & getting settled in the apartment. Brian, one of Jon's good friends & one of our ushers met us there for our semi-frequent indulgence. I branched out & got raspberry sorbet ~ which reminded me so much of my Grandma. She has raspberry & blackberry bushes we used to pick off of in her backyard. It was nummy!

Its Getting Close!

Well, its getting close now ~ we are just under two weeks!! We have one pretty barren apartment & one that is beginning to look more like a home! Its getting more real each day.

It has been so fun to settle some ~ or "nest" as Tim says. I am very ready for a more settled life ~ but am learning to trust the Lord in the inbetween for all I need & we need. He is sovereign over all that is happening & faithful to provide. Just 12 days more ~ we head home in 8 & the craziness will begin! We can't wait!

The fun thing is ~ both Jon's sister, Jen (& her new husband, Jason) & my older brother, Bryan, are from out of state so will be able to see & celebrate with them as they fly in for our wedding. It is going to be so fun to have them in & have them be in our wedding! We love them & this is GREAT excuse to have them in & hug their sweet necks again!

A Girls Night Out!

Our girls night out was lots of fun! We went out for fondue after a lingerie shower (woohoo!), then coffee & hit up the bookstore :) It was a blast ~ fun time with friends & bridesmaids!
